Broughton Border Gold

"Legend has it that gold panned from the crystal clear Border streams of the Yarrow Valley, nearby the site of Broughton Ales, was used to create the third wedding ring of Scotland's most famous monarch Mary Stuart, the Queen of Scots.
"Sitting in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borderss country, Broughton Ales has built up a worldwide reputation for 'Beers with Character'. Border Gold adds to this reputation with its folden colour, clean full malt flavour and crisp hop flower aftertaste, created by a skillful blend of pure Scottish water and the finest organically grown ingredients."

This is a good surprise. It has a nice orangish, blurry colour. It is slightly sweet, with a noticeable taste of apricot. It has a subtle bitterness. One of the best beer I've drank recently.

6% ABV. Read more on Broughton Ales website.
